CHaRM Dekalb will host a kids Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 26, 2025 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The event is FREE to attend.

This free event is designed to inspire kids throughout Metro Atlanta to actively engage in recycling and make everyday choices that support a healthier planet.

What to expect
Here are some of the activities that will be presented by community partners.
Atlanta ToolBank: A hands-on craft opportunity to build small cars.
Avondale Arts Alliance: Get creative with face painting, chalk, and coloring activities!
Chattahoochee Nature Center: Reptile Encounters and nature information on the importance of the wetlands.
Chattahoochee Riverkeeper: The team will be onsite demonstrating a Trash Trap.
Chick-fil-A: The Chick-fil-A Cow will be onsite visiting with Kids Day participants.
Cricket’s Mobile Petting Zoo: Visit everyone’s favorite furry friends, including goats, pigs, rabbits, chickens, ducks, and sheep!
Food Well Alliance: Kids can stop by and enjoy games centered around composting.
Georgia Aquarium Education Department: Kids can participate in science-related activities.
Novelis: Join in a hands-on, create your own slime activity.
Scraplanta: Kids can create seed bombs from soil and toilet paper rolls.
The Gift of Music Foundation: Miss LaLa’s Instrument Petting Zoo, in conjunction with The Gift of Music, will have several instruments on hand for kids to play.
Plus: Cornhole, chalk art, mural painting, games, crafts, and more!
