October 1, 2011, you’ll find a festival tailor-made for kids in Avondale Estates.
From 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., KidsFest 2011 will take over the intersection of Pine Street and Franklin Street. There’ll be kids’ yoga, flamenco dance demonstrations, story telling, a Sizzle Hiss Pop Band show, a Laughing Pizza show, & more.
Oh, and the kids can get a bit messy with hands-on art, like face painting, mural creation, & puppet making, and they’ll be able to make their own musical instruments. Plus, there’ll be balloons & bubbles galore–what more could a kid ask for?

While you’re on the east side of town, come on by Pine LakeFest, 10 minutes away in Pine Lake. We have music all day Saturday and Sunday, craft, arts, and food vendors, and several family-friendly activities, including a sand sculpture contest, a sidewalk chalk competition, and kids’ activities booth.
