you have no interest in attending the event, it’s worth noting if you’d like to park at Panola Mountain State Park fee-free: The $5 parking fee will be waived from 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2011.
To the deal: On Saturday, October 22, 2011, Panola Mountain State Park will host a free Local Food, Local Fun Day. From 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m., there’ll be healthy cooking demonstrations, a farmers’ market, organic gardening and composting exhibits, wall climbing, guided hikes, geocaching, walking shelter dogs, games and more.
Bring your bike or wear your hiking shoes so you can take time to explore the park’s trails while you’re there.
Panola Mountain State Park is located at 2600 Highway 155 SW, Stockbridge.
