• The High Museum of Art hosts its Second Sundays FREE day on March 2, 2025.

• The High Museum also hosts its FREE Access For All program on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 — you need to register in advance for this one.
• The Museums On Us program offers FREE admission to Bank of America cardholders at two metro-area museums on March 1st and 2nd. This includes the High Museum and Atlanta History Center.

• The Marietta History Center hosts its FREE monthly Family Fun Day on Saturday, March 15, 2025.
• The Carlos Museum hosts its Sunday FUNday event on March 2, 2025. This is a is a FREE drop-in program for all families and includes admission to the galleries. First come, first served, while supplies last. No registration is required.

This year, three different cinema chains are showcasing the nominated films on the big screen. Some are offering a real deal on tickets — as low as $5 per film.

March 8 – 22, 2025
Multiple locations
Each year, the Atlanta Science Festival is hosts close to 100 dynamic events, spread across Atlanta and the suburbs. Many are FREE, although some have a small charge. The events are designed for all age groups and all interests, making science fun.
Family-friendly events include outdoor scavenger hunts and discovery walks.

This festival is older and more well established than its inside-the-Perimeter counterpart in Brookhaven.

♦ View the total lunar eclipse & blood moon
This month, we’ll get a chance to witness a total lunar eclipse and a Blood Moon in Atlanta, for the first time since 2022.
The total lunar eclipse will begin just before midnight on Thursday, March 13, 2025, but most of it will happen in the wee hours of Friday, March 14th, 2025.
You can watch from home, or at one of the museums, parks, and science centers offering an eclipse viewing event.

Atlanta’s longest running parade! It is held on the Saturday just before St. Patricks Day and travels along Peachtree Street.

Blackburn Park
The festival has gained a reputation for its incredible music line-up. It also includes an art market, food vendors galore, family-friendly activities in the Kidz Zone, a classic car show, and more. Festival admission and all the concerts are FREE.

March 7 – April 13, 2025
Old Turner Field
This is Georgia’s only urban fair, taking place downtown in the GRAY LOT of the stadium. It features plenty of exciting rides and your favorite carnival cuisine. There’s also nightly entertainment, like concerts and dance troupes.

♦ Atlanta Purim Parade & Festival
March 19, 2025
Beth Jacob Synagogue
The parade usually takes place along LaVista Rd, which is closed to traffic.
The festival, complete with carnival rides, games, traditional Purim food, and more takes place at the Synagogue.
Admission is FREE, but you’ll need tickets for the food vendors and rides.

♦ Spring walks and easy hikes
The March weather may be fickle in Atlanta, but there are plenty of days suitable for walking or hiking — just dress appropriately.
• Wednesday morning group walks at Mason Mill Park are lead by a guide, starting at 10 a.m. on third Wednesdays each month — which is March 19, 2025.

♦ Experience the magic of a Candlelight Concert
Candlelight concerts bring the magic of a live, multi-sensory musical experience to awe-inspiring locations around metro Atlanta.
These are live performances in intimate venues, lit by flickering candles. The concerts range from iconic classical music to tributes to pop artists like Adele and Queen.

♦ Titanic: An Immersive Voyage
This NEW immersive exhibit just landed at the Exhibition Hub Art Center, on Buford Highway at I-285. It allows you to virtually hop aboard the Titanic and walk through life-sized recreations of parts of the infamous ship.
You can also:
- Discover an impressive collection of artifacts related to the Titanic’s short life
- Relive the ship’s final dramatic moments from a lifeboat in an immersive room
- Dive into the depths of the ocean aboard a virtual submersible and discover the RMS Titanic’s wreck site
- Learn about the story of the Titanic—from its creation to the crash and aftermath

♦ Horizon of Kufu: Take a virtual reality trip thru ancient Egypt
Horizon of Khufu has landed in Atlanta, completely reshaping the immersive experience. Step back into the golden age of ancient Egypt, where you can relive the reign of King Khufu and explore the iconic pyramids from 4500 years ago.
The 45-minute virtual reality experience costs $27 for adults, and $24 for kids, seniors, military, and students.
It’s located in the same building as the Illuminarium, at 550 Somerset Terrace NE, Atlanta 30306.

♦ Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience
This immersive exhibit lets you step into a Van Gogh painting as you explore his life and work through 360-degree digital projections and a virtual reality excursion through the French countryside. It’s running all month long.
Located at the new Exhibition Hub Art Center, 5660 Buford Highway in Doraville.
There are over 250 FREE parking spots here, and it’s right off I-285 near Spaghetti Junction.
