The City of McDonough will hold its annual Tree Lighting ceremony and Christmas Parade on Saturday, November 30, 2024.
Santa Claus will be a featured guest at the event.
The Tree Lighting event begins at 3 p.m. with music and celebration, and the lights go on at 5 p.m.
The parade begins at 6 p.m.
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 30th, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on the Square and available to meet with kids — so bring your camera for this DIY photo opp!

On Saturday, November 23, 2024, do all your holiday shopping at the Merry Market on Main, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

In 2024, Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus will be on the Square and available to take photos on:
- Saturday, Nov. 30 — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday, Dec. 7 — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
- Saturday Dec. 14 — 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
On December 31st, bring the kids to the early New Year’s Eve Celebration on the Square, from 2 to 5 p.m.
The grown-up New Year’s Eve event begins at 10 p.m., with the Geranium Drop at midnight.
