Oakhurst Porchfest is back for 2024! The annual music festival takes place on Saturday, October 19th from noon to 7 p.m.
During Porchfest, you can wander around one square mile within Oakhurst neighborhood and enjoy one-hour performances that take place on the porches of private homes.
This is a FREE, grassroots music festival that is planned each year by neighborhood residents. It began in 2015. Porches become stages and yards become venues.
Oakhurst Porchfest is a family-friendly event.
Oakhurst is a charming neighborhood in the southwest corner of Decatur, sandwiched between Agnes Scott College and the College Heights neighborhood to the east, East Lake to the south, and Kirkwood to the west.
If you plan to attend, please be courteous and mindful of other people’s property.
Before you go, you can view the music line-up and a map of porches online. The map can be printed, or viewed on a mobile device. The website also lists local businesses where you can pick up a printed program, while supplies last.
In past years, there have been over 200 performances during a 7-hour window.
You may also want to visit one of the taverns, restaurants, or sweet shops in Oakhurst. Most are located along W. Howard Ave, Hosea Williams Dr, and East Lake Dr. You an view a list of nearby dining options online.

Getting there
The Oakhurst neigbhorhood is located in the southwest corner of Decatur, between the tracks at W. College Ave and Hosea Williams Drive.
During Porchfest, it is an exceptionally bad idea to drive thru Oakhurst or look for parking within the neighborhood. Please do NOT park at the small neighborhood businesses.
Your best bet is MARTA.
You can leave your car at one of the train stations with free parking. The East Lake MARTA Station (Blue Line) is located at one end of the festival, and it’s an easy walk (you’ll be walking around the festival for a few hours anyway). There’s even a handy MARTA to Porchfest Guide online.
Other options include biking in, renting a scooter, walking from adjacent neighborhoods, or using a rideshare service.
