This is a “Shop and Swap” event exclusively for plus size clothing. You can clear out your own closet and find new-to-you pieces for trade or thrift store prices.
The event takes place on Saturday, January 27, 2024.
Hours are 9 a.m. to noon for shoppers.
Those with clothing to sell or swap can set up between 8:30 and 9 a.m.
Tear down for swappers/sellers is noon to 12:30 p.m.
The location is the Doraville Civic Center, located at:
3770 Central Ave.
Doraville, GA 30340
There is parking at the Civic Center and nearby at the library and courthouse buildings.
If you want to shop and swap only, you’ll pay $5 entry either at the door or online via Eventbrite (plus 30 cents sales tax).
If you want to sell items, you’ll pay $10 (plus fees and tax) and register on Eventbrite.
If you have a lot of items, please consider bringing your own folding table or garment rack (there will be some available).
The clothing you bring to swap can be plus-sized for women or “big and tall” for men.
The guidelines suggest bringing only things size XL and above.
Please bring only clean clothes in good condition — things you would be proud to pass on.
The organizers stress that this event is about community and sharing, not profiting. With that in mind, please keep all swaps equitable and fair, and set thrift store level prices for items you want to sell.
