The Enchanted Closet has opened registration for its 2024 Annual Prom Dress Giveaway. You must be registered to attend the giveaway event, which is held in East Atlanta on March 23rd from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Girls in middle school, junior high, and high school are eligible to “shop” for dresses at the event.
Each eligible girl will receive a dress, shoes, jewelry, and free or discounted hair and make-up services/products — while supplies last.
You can also enter to receive a special makeover, but that requires a brief written essay.
Once you select a dress and accessories, a $10 handling fee is charged at checkout. Cash only.

Tuxedo giveaway
Young men can register and submit an essay to be considered for a FREE tuxedo. It will be fitted at the March 23rd event.

Enchanted Closet prom dress giveaway rules
♦ Students must be in grades 8 through 12 and attend school in one of the 14 metro Atlanta counties.
♦ Students must present a valid student ID card or other proof of enrollment at the appointment date.
♦ Students are allowed into the boutique based on their appointment time, in groups of 10 to 15.
♦ Plan to remove heavy makeup and deodorant products before trying on dresses. There will be wipes available on site.
♦ Each girl will work with a personal shopper volunteer to put an outfit together.
♦ Each girl can bring one adult with her into the boutique.
♦ While shopping, students can try on multiple dresses, but can only select one dress before proceeding to the accessories department.
♦ Adults are not permitted to shop for a student who is not present.

The Enchanted Closet takes cash donations as well as donated dresses.
These are the requirements for dresses:
- No more than 3 years old
- Dry-cleaned and free of stains, odors, rips, etc.
- Style is appropriate for a teenager
They also accept jewelry, handbags, hair clips, new bras and foundation garments, and shoes.
