East Atlanta Strut will host the Pushing Up Daisies event on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The event includes a cemetery and garden tour, three great bands, food and drinks, and a day of outdoor fun.
You have two options for tickets:
• A $10 ticket gets you access to the bands and a free drink ticket, starting at 3 p.m.
• A $20 ticket gives you access to 10 private gardens, a free drink ticket, and the concerts.
Kids 12 and younger are admitted to both parts of the festival for FREE.
You’ll be able to tour ten neighborhood gardens, plus the concerts in Sylvester Cemetery.
The event will showcase neighborhood gardens and introduce visitors to the historic Sylvester Cemetery, which has been rescued by a dedicated group of volunteers.
Tour the gardens and the cemetery in the morning from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., then pull up your lawn chair or blanket for a lively afternoon of bands among the tombstones from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The southeast corner of the cemetery is the perfect spot for great music. Bring lawn chairs or a blanket for the late-afternoon celebration with three great bands.
Enjoy food and drink at the cemetery all day, provided by:
- Coffyn Pyes
- Just Loaf’N
- King of Pops
- Chairman’s Reserve
- Misguided Spirits
This is a rain-or-shine event, unless the weather turns dangerous.

Sylvester Cemetery is located at 2073 Braeburn Circle.
It began around 1838 as a family plot on land owned by the Terry family. After being neglected for generations, and being almost totally abandoned in the 1970s, the cemetery has been brought back to life by the Historic Sylvester Cemetery Foundation.
