[exp] [/exp]From 11:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m., on April 1, 2016, the RAD (Rail Arts District) Studio Cruise returns.
The free annual event features art exhibits at various galleries, including Atlanta Hot Glass, Garage Door Studio, Little Tree Art Studios, & MudFire Clayworks and Gallery, to name a few, plus there’ll be artist demonstrations, live entertainment, & more.
The RAD Studio Cruise takes place along one mile stretch of CSX rail line that passes through downtown Avondale Estates, into Decatur’s Laredo Drive industrial area, and along East Ponce De Leon Ave into Scottdale. Hours may vary by venue.
Bonus #1: There’ll be free trolleys running all day to get you to various RAD locations, including stops at Garage Door Studios (downtown Avondale Estates), the free city parking lot at Oak and Franklin, Little Tree Art Studios (Franklin Street area), Wild Heaven Craft Beers, MudFire Clayworks & Gallery and Atlanta Hot Glass, and the East Ponce Industrial Complex. The last trolley starts its route at 6:00 p.m., so plan accordingly.
Bonus #2: From 8:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m., there’ll be an after-hours RAD Street Party at Little Tree featuring a free concert by Fragile with special guest Jeff and the Camaros.
