On August 14-16, the Southeast Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show will be in Cartersville. I think we’re heading up to check it out—my daughters already have ammonites, amethyst, sandstone, & a few others; they’ll like checking out the collection & seeing the possibilities. And it beats taking them to a random field & dealing with bugs and snakes while digging for fossils on our own.
The Southeast Gem, Mineral & Fossil Show will be at the Holiday Inn, I-75 Exit 293 and 411 NE Cartersville. There’s no admission fee. You can browse from 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Friday & Saturday, August 14 & 15 and from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 16.
