The city of Conyers has a quirky celebration planned in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. The event takes place on Friday, March 15th, 2024. The events are FREE to attend and are family-friendly — so show up and be Irish for a day!
You’re encouraged to wear green, dress like a leprechaun, or show up in other festive attire.
The annual World’s Fastest Growing St Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 5 p.m.
It steps off from the corner of Main St and Center St, and everyone is invited to dress up in green and walk along in this two-block parade. (If you don’t want to walk in the parade, you can be a spectator!)
Want to participate?
Just show up at the corner of Main and Center Streets by 4:45 p.m.
There are no vehicles allowed in the parade, which will take place rain or shine.
The parade has been a Conyers tradition since 1980, and will be led by a bagpiper playing classic Irish tunes.
Irish dancers will perform in the parade, and at the Olde Town Pavilion in Randal S. Mills City Center Park following the parade.
Then, at 5:30 p.m., you can participate in The World’s Shortest Endurance Run — just 0.1 mile in length!
Other highlights include the annual crowning of children’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade king and queen, award for best dressed pet, and winner of the leprechaun lookalike contest for adults.
The merchants in Olde Town Conyers will be running food and drink specials.
