After the chaos of the last week, something like relaxing at Summerfest is exactly what I need….
On June 9 & 10, head to Virginia-Highland for Summerfest 2018. As usual, there’ll be a Kidsfest & Artist Market. But quite a few people (including me) head to Summerfest for the music, happening on multiple stages all weekend long.
Here’s the main stage lineup:
Saturday, June 9
- Noon: Bird City Revolutionaries
- 1:30 p.m.: Cody Matlock
- 3:00 p.m.: Rosey
- 4:30 p.m.: Voodoo Visionary
- 6:15 p.m.: GuruFish
- 8:00 p.m.: Kung Fu
Sunday, June 10
- 1:00 p.m.: Mango Season
- 2:30 p.m.: Mayhayley’s Grave and Bonafide Sideshow
- 4:30 p.m.: Alex Guthrie
The Artist Market is open from 10:00 a.m.-6:30 p.m. on Saturday & 10:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m. on Sunday, so get there early to shop before the music starts or browse the works of 200+ artists between bands.
FYI–Parking is always tight for Summerfest. If you’re driving, head out early to snag a spot (there’ll be a mix of free & paid parking lots plus designated on-street parking).
