If the last image you have of the Strand Theatre is of an eyesore on Marietta’s historic square, you’ll be impressed with what they’ve done with the place. The newly renovated Earl Smith Strand Theatre turns one this month, and to celebrating, they’re opening their doors to anyone who wants to take a look.
The Strand will host an open house from 3:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 17. There’ll be “backstage” theatre tours, silent film comedy, soloists, as well as three different organists performing pops music on the Mighty Allen Theatre Organ. The best news? It’s free.
