The Urban Regatta returns to Castleberry Hill this fall! This one-of-a-kind neighborhood festival takes place on Saturday, September 21, 2024 from noon to 7 p.m.
The event celebrates the artistry and vibrancy of Atlanta’s Castleberry Hill neighborhood. It features an artist market, live music, pop-up galleries, food trucks, performances, and the main event — a sailing contest for “boats” built on bicycles.
The event is FREE to attend.
It is family-friendly.
The Kid’s Regatta begins at 1:30 p.m.
The main event Regatta begins at 3 p.m., with heats launching every 5 minutes.
Winners are announced on stage at 6 p.m.
Only those wishing to build their own “bike boat” and compete in the regatta must register and pay a fee. (Kids can participate for FREE, however.)
If you’d like to participate, your bike boat must have a nautical theme.
See the guidelines here.
The registration deadline is September 14th, and the fee is $100. Children must register to compete, but will not pay a fee.
Register via FreshTix
Castleberry Hill is known for its lively arts scene. It is home to many restored historic buildings, the Castleberry Hill Historic District, and Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
