Dekalb County cash card giveaway
DeKalb County is hosting a vaccination event with $100 gift card giveaway on Saturday, October 8th, 2022. It will take place at the Dekalb Community Empowerment Fall Festival, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., or while supplies last.
The location is the Gallery of South DeKalb, 2801 Candler Road, Decatur — in the parking lot of the old Macy’s store.
The event will also feature music, food, prizes, health screenings, voter information, senior services, and flu shots.

The mobile vaccination clinic is offering Covid vaccinations and the newly formulated booster shot to anyone age 12 or up.
According to a press release, only only 32% of Dekalb residents have received a booster dose. The current booster has been newly formulated to provide broader protection against the strain of virus that is now predominant.
The vaccinations are FREE and voluntary.
If you have a photo ID and/or health insurance card, please bring them. If you don’t have these items, you are still eligible.
If you cannot attend this mobile vaccination clinic, you can check the Dekalb County calendar for other clinics.
According to a media alert, everyone will have a choice of either the Moderna or Pfizer vaccines.

Gwinnett County cash card incentive
Gwinnett County will host a vaccine clinic on Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Lenora Park Gym, located at 4515 Lenora Church Road in Snellville.
Vaccines will be available to eligible people ages 5 and up for the chance to earn a $100 gift card. All three authorized vaccines – Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson – will be available onsite. Gift cards will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. No appointments will be taken.
Atlanta Public Schools (students & their families)
Atlanta Public Schools is partnering with Fulton County Government for this giveaway, which is open to eligible APS students plus family members within their households. The events will take place on select dates in fall of 2021,
This is a limited offer, so register NOW if you’re interested. The gift card incentives will be given to the first 100 eligible students and family members who sign up.
Those who participate will receive one $50 card from APS, plus another $50 card from Fulton County Board of Health — for a total of $100 per shot, or $200 for those who get both shots through the program.
NOTE that only Pfizer vaccines are given at these events.
The vaccine events will be held on the following dates between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.:
* October 30th (first dose)
* November 20th (2nd dose)
The previously scheduled Oct. 23rd vaccine event has been rescheduled to the Oct. 30th event.
All Oct. 23rd registrants have been contacted and invited to move to Oct.30th.
There are two locations for the events on each date:

Fulton County vaccine incentive
This $100 vaccine giveaway is open to all Fulton County residents.
On four dates, residents of Fulton County will be eligible to receive a $100 prepaid gift card after receiving their COVID-19 vaccine at three sites.
The incentive is available to those residents who are seeking their first or second dose of the Pfizer vaccine only. The county will NOT have other vaccine brands available. The Pfizer shot can be given to anyone age 12 and older.

* Wednesday, Oct. 27th
* Saturday, Oct. 30th
* Wednesday, Nov. 3rd
* Saturday, Nov. 6th
The giveaway will take place at these 3 vaccination sites:

• Emma Darnell Aviation Museum & Conference Center (formerly the Aviation Community Cultural Center), 3900 Aviation Circle, NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30336

Covid test kit giveaways
Can’t find a self-administered Covid test on the pharmacy shelves? Some of our metro county health departments are trying to ease the strain for those who need to test.
Dekalb County will distribute 5,000 at-home Covid-19 rapid test kits to Dekalb residents this Thursday, December 30th.
The giveaway starts at 9 a.m. and continues while supplies last.
There are three locations:
South DeKalb Mall

Decatur, GA 30034
North DeKalb Mall
2050 Lawrenceville Hwy.
Decatur, GA 30033
Plaza Fiesta
4166 Buford Hwy.
Atlanta, GA 30345
This is a drive-thru event, but walk-ups are welcome.
If you drive, you can remain in your vehicle to receive your FREE test kit.
Limit one test kit per person.
Dekalb County said in a press statement that they are making thousands of rapid tests available to help increase testing access amid the surge in Omicron cases.

Fulton County distributes FREE Covid tests
Fulton County has also initiated a Say Yes to the Test campaign.
Right now, all distribution sites are listed as being out-of-stock. However, you can check online here to see when more tests are available.
