Looking for fun things to do on Valentine’s Day without breaking the bank? We’ve got you covered. There are plenty of things to do on the cheap — whether you’re in a romantic relationship, flying solo, or wanting to hang with a group of friends.
With Valentine’s Day on a Thursday this year, many events are spilling over into the weekend.
On Friday, February 15, music lovers can enjoy an evening of silly love songs, performed by Yacht Rock Schooner at Park Tavern’s upstairs Piedmont Room.
Yacht Rock Schooner is a ’70s and ’80s tribute band that covers the likes of Hall & Oates, Steely Dan, Kenny Loggins, Michael McDonald, and more. Their annual “silly love songs” concert is a popular event that sells out every year.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m. This is a 21-and-over event. Bar service is available in the Piedmont Room during the concert.
Of course, Park Tavern will be open for dinner, cocktails, cold brews, or appetizers.
You can make reservations for dinner online, to enjoy the full dinner menu and the $2 Buck Shuck Oyster Menu prior to the concert.
Alternatively, you can wait till after the concert to take advantage of the tavern’s late-night, half-price menu and enjoy the half-off discount on fresh sushi, draft beers, sangria, and Frosé.
Take advantage of the advance sale discount:
When you buy ahead of time online, tickets are only $15. (They are $20 at the door, if the event doesn’t sell out first.)
The event is primarily standing room only, as VIP tables are currently sold out.
