How many times have you wished you had the time to learn a musical instrument? Here’s a golden opportunity!
Brad Bordessa, of Live Ukulele, is going online with FREE. live ukulele lessons from Monday, March 16th, through Friday, March 20th, 2020.
Brad is in Hawaii, but the lessons are 4 p.m. our time here in Atlanta — which makes them a great activity for kids who are at home due to school closings.
Here’s what Brad wrote on his Facebook page:
With events and schools closing all over the world… we all need some fun things to do to fill the time.
Here’s my contribution: I’m going to kick off a week of free live ʻukulele lessons and Q&As this Monday through Friday at 10am HST (1pm PST/4pm EST)!
Brad will cover the basics of tuning, holding, strumming, and playing songs.
Each day he will dedicate the first half hour to teaching the basics of the ukulele and how to play some simple, hip songs. Each day he’ll build on and practice what was taught earlier in the week.
After each lesson, he’ll open the chat up to Q&As. Since this a live stream, you can ask questions and Brad will answer them for another half hour.

Editor’s note: We realize this event is only useful if you happen to have a ukelele in the house. We’re trying to add virtual events as a community service, during this time of closures, cancellations, and staying home. If you have thoughts on this, please leave a comment below or email us and let us know.
